Time To Boot Up

04 May, 2020

Cooler days are coming in hot (but… cold) so we’ve put together the trends you need to know to keep your boot game strong.

The introduction of Autumn is always a fun time with the fashion circuit pumping out some serious street style, which leads to having the best inspo to curate your wardrobe for the rest of 2020.

If you’re like us, you wear boots just about everyday because we all know that a great pair of boots transcends seasons. Lucky for you, this season sees a plethora of ‘it-girl’ boot styles, meaning one of two things: 1) loads of outfit options to choose from, for any and every occasion and 2) guaranteed success in finding a new go-to boot (or two, or three…) to see out the entire season.

So what’s on the menu? We have you covered from knee high boots, heeled boots, ankle boots, square toe boots and combat boots. Need we say more?

Without further ado, behold the styles we’re lusting over featuring some favourite #TBGirls.

Rebel with a cause | Seattle, Stomp, Sloane

It’s a grunge revival and we are here for it! Move over minimalistic vibes, chunky, platform boots are incoming and are easily the comfiest trend of the season.

If you’re new to the combat boot, welcome! You’re about to nab the height of a stiletto minus the teetering heel, all whilst looking biker-girl chic, just as Irina Shayk did in Seattle Boot and Sofia R ichie nailed with Stomp Boot.

Don’t be put off by the chunk though, the combat boot is easily styled with feminine pieces and adds an instant cool-girl factor!

Hip to be square | Halsey, Ines, Halee

We’re having major 90s nostalgia with these geometric inspired boots. The pointed toe ankle boot has a new rival that is adding street-cred to even the most basic outfit.

With a blend of colours and materials to choose from, every style is covered whether you’re a #beigeaesthetic enthusiast (we recommend Halsey in Dove) or former sock-boot lover (you should head straight for Ines in Black Stretch), the square-toe boot is ticking all the boxes.

Rising star | Lux, Guilia

Don’t get caught in the trap of thinking that knee high boots are only dedicated to freezing days! We’re emulating the street style of northern hemisphere babes and getting out in bare legs (or tights if you must), a trench dress and long boots for an ultimate #ootd that will see you looking fierce at the office and chic at the bar.

For those wanting to take things to the next level, Lux Boot reaches over the knee and comes in leather and suede for a play on textures.

A wild time | Lucille & Lorena

We’re still not over animal inspired prints and we hope you aren’t either. A neutral snakeskin is a forever favourite, whilst the croc embossed leather is a stylish staple.

Designed for those ready to ditch the classic black and go bold in an animal print, we can’t see this boot trend disappearing anytime soon!

Go all out in the knee-high boot, Lucille, or keep it subtler in the heeled ankle boot, Lorena, both with a sleek point that will dress up any outfit for weekend plans. For an everyday affair, slip on the Parisa ankle boot that also features another of our favourite trends: a square toe. You can thank us later!
