You girls and your denim

16 Dec, 2019

3 ways to wear denim this season as illustrated by our #TBgirls.

Denim, what would we do without it. Trustier than your exes combined, we all have a go to we can recite quicker than our coffee order (one high rise black skinny with stretch to go, please).

But like all seasonal staples, denim is not immune to the trend wave we willingly ride. So park the skinnies, even tell them you’re on a break, because we’ve turned to the chicest fash-pack to show you the coolest cuts to covet this season, and how to style them with your Tony Bianco heels.

Straight Lines

Things we love: a classic, a comeback and any excuse for cute meets comfort. Therefore, when we heard the faintest whisper that 90’s inspired straight-leg jeans were on their way back into fashion, we kissed any other shape of denim goodbye and embrace the relaxed (but behind enhancing) cut. If you looked up ‘jeans and a nice top’ in the sartorial dictionary, you would find straight leg jeans – paired back with the perfect pair of heels, naturally. Opt for a lighter (read: nostalgic) wash and set the summer tone.

Shortcuts

Love to love or love to hate, there’s no harder working wardrobe staple than the denim cut off. Think less Daisy Duke and more Dirty Dancing for your summer denim moment, pairing back with the barely there heel or take the flip-flop heel trend head on for the ultimate throw back. Whether you opt for a longer pair of Bermuda denim shorts - a recent edition to the celebrity and influencer roster - or the denim mini - an Aussie summer essential - you’ll be sure to look stylish all season long whilst showing off your summer glow.

Supersize Me

File under: how to look chic when feeling a lil’ lazy. Whilst oversize denim isn’t for the faint hearted, they do make a convincing case for effortlessly chic. The throw-on-and-go shape is reminiscent of the jeans your mom wore for the better part of your childhood (cc: dad sneakers), they are so easy to dress up with barely there heels for an impactful but not-trying-so-hard look worthy of your 2019/20 wardrobe. Plus, the oversized shape and length creates the illusion of a smaller waist and longer legs, win win!
